If you want to keep the baby, then go ahead with the pregnancy. You only need to tell your obgyn about your HSV status and in the last trimester you'll probably be put on daily suppressive therapy (okay for babies). During delivery, let the doctor know (if different), so they can avoid using forceps or anything that might break the baby's skin. Worst case scenario (evidence of outbreak), a C-section can be performed.

I found out I had the same virus as you I also thought I was pregnant because I haven't had my monthly turns out I wasn't I would of still kept the baby if I was only because I wouldn't want to regret anything later in life even though I am still so young to have kids at all and not stable. Do what you want but just make sure that you won't do anything that you'll regret.

See my reply above. It's fine. Main risk is during delivery. Opt for an elective C-section if you're that fearful. Natural deliveries are riskier, but can still be okay if the above precautions are taken. You only need to decide if you want to keep the baby (herpes aside).

First of all, HSV2 might seem like a life-ending, discusting stigma, but it's really not that big of a deal. It's very common, in fact. It is not a life or death situation. That's probably the most important lesson to learn about this virus, which is "Lighten Up." Believe me, I know what it feels like when you first get the diagnosis, but it's not as bad as it seems. Second, my wife and I have two kids who were unaffected. Bear in mind, both of my kids were born via c-section.
