I have idiopathic chronic pancreatitis and i just stay very ill all the time and chronic diarrhea.

I take Creon and I'm opiates for the pain. I stay dehydrated. My mid back spasms and hurts after I eat. I go thru chills and muscle aches. I get this pain that is a squeezing sharp pain that last about 7 minutes in my abdominal just below my belly button on right side. It will even wake me up. It's the worst pain I have ever had. Most of my pain is upper right and raps around my sides. I get nausea a lot and bad smelly diarrhea. It's embarrassing in my own home. I can't go anywhere due to diarrhea an the pain. My neck and shoulders will also hurt sometimes. I worked for 26 yrs and became disabled. I'm only 51 yrs old. I stay very depressed from this disease. I take meds for the anxiety and depression. Thank God I have good doctors. My ribs stay very sore. I stay so fatigued also. Thanks for reading. I wanted to share my symptoms and pain.

    Sorry to hear about your pain, I hope that you start having some kind of relief after the creon starts doing its job.

    So very sorry for all you're going through.  Have you had a CT, MRI and ultrasound to rule out pancreatic duct stones? 

    I have occasional attacks but so far manageable with pain medications.  Sending prayers that the pain subsides so that you can live a more pain free life.
