I Have M.E and I find knitting helps with my anxiety. Does anyone use crafts to calm themselves?

I am 21 and suffer from M.e, I recently learned to knit and found that after a long day this gave me a sense of calm, I was wondering if anyone else uses a craft to ease anxiety and stress.

Yes, absolutely. Knitting is wonderful (especially in the winter) and I also do a lot of adult coloring.

    hi,

i cross stitch and have done since i was 14.

i used to do it while watching tv to stop me from eating biscuits (cant tell you how many slaps ive missed on eastenders because i was looking down!!)

When i was diagnosed with m.e i was told i couldnt cross stitch and watch tv together, as they were 2 seperate activities. This was a Big routine change for me.

Now i set a side some time just for cross stitching while listening to music and have refound my passion. As i dont do it everyday i love the little bit of progress i make on good days.

Glad youve found crafting, it really is rewarding.
