I have multiple liver cysts which are very uncomfortable and sometimes painful.

I would like to contact others with a similar diagnosis to compare notes. e.g. At what age were you diagnosed?Has anyone had a hepatic cyst rupture or turn cancerous? Has anyone had them surgically removed? I am 68, quite slim but with a huge belly. I feel exhausted almost all the time, but am not sure whether or not that is related. I can only eat small portions of food at a time. If you have liver cysts, I would dearly love to read your experience. I feel like the only person in the world with this problem.

Hi Pameladawn, I live in Mississippi. I'm 58 years old and I was diagnosed with hepatic cysts back in the year 1999 or so. I have 5 in my liver but had one of them removed in September because it grew 18cm and I was having serious problems. I first had it drained but returned in only 8 days. But 2018 I surgically had it removed. I stayed in hospital for 2 days. Everything went well

Hi 2-colors. Thank you very much for your reply. 39/40 years of age seems very young to be diagnosed with hepatic cysts from what I've read. What symptoms led to their discovery? Were you monitored over that time? What were the serious problems you endured? Sorry to be so nosy. I'm just interested. I first went to the doctor because I was having trouble breathing, thinking I might have a lung problem due to passive smoking. (I don't smoke.) Also, I can only eat small portions of food at a sitting without feeling sick. I glad your op went well. 18cm is huge!
