Hi need a favour.

I have been observing a pink spot on penis head for more than year now. I have not experienced any pain in that area nor itching.. But now I fear that this could be something serious. Could anyone help? imageimage

John, I very much doubt whether this is anything serious - it could be anything from a skin imperfection or blemish, to a slight pigmentation change. If you got someone to check out the entire surface of your skin it is likely they would find lots of little variations to how the majority of your skin looks.

If it were the beginnings of a skin disorder it would have developed to something much worse than this within the period of a year that you have had this.

Unfortunately, the only way to be able to deal with this in terms of cure would be when it gets to a much worse state, or, put it down to nothing much more than a blemish - keep an eye on it for changes, but I don't think it actually will ......

Hi wee, after 4months there are no much changes to this spot.. I have taken tests for HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia and Hep. All are negative. Do you think this could be anything serious? image

Good move and news on the results from getting tested. I have blown the pic up as far as I can without distortion and I fully agree with the response you have just received from James.

Yes, I know it may well be annoying that it is there - but I think even if you went to see a Genital / Sexual health specialist such as a Urologist they are most likely to conclude the same thing.

What you need to avoid is irritation to the area, and in time the red marking may fade.

The skin on the head of the penis is probably the most sensitive on the human body, so it can react to the most unlikely things. Such as soap, shower gel, skin creams, lotions and moisturisers.

Many men apply all sorts of things to their penis for masturbation or sex - avoid applying ANYTHING - wash with water only.

As this has been noticeable for some months now it could take 4 or 5 months of not applying anything at all to your penis - that is before the making BEGINS to fade ......

As above, it looks like skin pigmentation or a simple mark. The glans is no different than other area of the body and will over time have lumps, bumps and red marks on it. As you've got the all clear from any STD's I wouldn't worry about it.
