I have PCOS, on birth control but sexually active. What are my pregnancy chances?

Last late January i was diagnosed with mild PCOS so I went to my OB-GYNE and I was prescribed to take Diane 35 to regulate my period and lessen acne. Since January - feb my period became regulated. However around January also my partner and I started to become sexually active but he does withdrawal. My OB recently prescribed me to take Diane 35 to consume two packs straight, no rest (one pill a day) and until now I still don't have my period (I was expected to have March 23).

What are my chances of getting pregnant, knowing I'm sexually active, I'm on the pill and I have PCOS?

Your chances of pregnancy should always be assumed to be the same as those on birth control without PCOS. I'm going to assume you do not wish to become pregnant, given that you and your partner practice withdrawal in conjunction with taking hormonal birth control. If you still have not had your period, I would not be super concerned, as any change in birth control regimen can cause an imbalance in all of that. That said, I would still consider an at-home pregnancy test, just to confirm that you're not pregnant. I am in much the same position, having PCOS and being on hormonal birth control. I've definitely had some abnormal periods, especially when changing birth control and birth control schedules, but peeing on a stick has definitely always made me feel a little better. (It's unlikely I would become pregnant, but it still calms me a whole heck of a lot to know that things are still going according to plan.) Best of luck to you, dear!

Thanks so much! I actually bled yesterday but it was barely even bleeding just red blood spotting then it turned brown. When I woke up this morning I was expecting to have flow but I have no discharge. Does this mean i'm safe? Should I pause my pill for a while so I can "bleed"?

You should continue taking your birth control pills as prescribed. Everything will sort itself out. It might take a few cycles, but things should return to normal!

I'm a little worried cuz I did read that minimal bleeding can also be a sign of "detachment from the lining" aka conceiving so I'm not sure. Although today I also bled (the third day) but very very minimal also, like spotting. Three days ago it was blood red spot then yesterday and today it was brown ish i don't think it was discharge since it smelled like blood. So i guess this is my period?
