I have peripheral neuropathy

My peripheral neuropathy has become worse in the last few weeks.(I have had it for over 10 years-in my feet) I am on 100mg gabapentin and 30mg amitryptline for this. I dont want to take more medication but have heard that Alpha Lipoic Acid has been very helpful to some PN sufferers. I am not sure whether it is safe to take this. I am also on Thyroxine,Adizem (for blood pressure), Clopidogrel(blood thinning), Statin, and Omniprazole
