on June 25, 2019 my family and I were exposed to scabies it was confirmed on July 7 will be on treating July 9 it is now October and we are still fighting the battle. we caught it from the same kids twice before and only two of us in the home showed typical burrows but we handle it with permethrin cream. the second time we treated due to exposure and turned out fine. 6 months pass and again the same kids infected our life. it is different this time the mites did not die from the cream instead they seemed unharmed. we saw an infectious disease doctor who gave us ivermectin and it failed. He sent us to a dermatologist who gave us ivermectin days 1,2,8,9,15,22 & 28 with malathion and I am still seeing marks. I have done teatree oil, clove oil, neem and benzyl benzoate to no avail. i have spent the last 4 months boiling water to wash clothes daily which seems to keep them at a minimum but its miserable. I've spent thousands cleaning, I AM TIRED. IF ANYONE HAS OVER COME THIS PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I HAVE ALSO DONE SULFUR Soap. any suggestions are welcome.

hi there i think your probably killing them but reinfecting yourself. is everyone in household fillowing same regimin? also do the cream and the ivermectin at same time

you can get ivermectin paste at feed store and save a ton

you can make your own permethrin cream by buying the permethin liquid ( feed store also) and adding it to your lotion.

side effects of this is itchy scratchy so try not to itch bc youll think its a burrow but its not

I appreciate you for taking the time to reply. Thank you so much. When we first got infected we did the permethrin for 10 days straight along with ivermectin on days 1,2&7 (or maybe 8) as told by the infectious disease specialist. The burrows came everyday of the treament.... We sealed the furniture and tried again, doing the cream and pills on another schedule the doctor then gave up and sent us to the dermatologist, she gave us ivermectin days 1,2,,8,9,15,22,28 along with malathion days 22,and 28. The diagnosis is "resistant scabies ", because the people we got it from had half treated with permethrin. They apparently sprayed permethrin on furniture and clothing but didn't treat themselves to completion. Instead of cleaning the sprayed permethrin...crazy. I know this sounds insane but doctors don't know what to do... The malathion has seemed to quite things but i found a new burrow... Now here is the weird part noone has ever got the rash we just keep getting sporadic marks no more than 3 or four lines at one given time. This bad, i hate scabies. I live in NYC so we have no feed stores close by, ivermectin is bad for the liver if overuse and to be honest i would give up a kidney if this would stop....

are you sure 100% that is about scabies? I'm still having this problem and after months i just found out that is a different kind of mites? Have they tested you for scabies?
