I suffered with sciatica for years.I tried lots of different pain meds.I can't take inflammatory medication because of a stomach problem.

I would have a word with your GP.

have you had scans, do you know if you have a trapped nerve.

you could always ask you gp for a xray.

I have had 3 op on my back and now have a nerve stimulator fitted in my back which controls my pain.

    Hi

Soviet to hear your going through a very painful illness

My mum had it years ago and tried every thing that didn't work

She went for acupuncture and found that worked and she could eventually put her own vlothes on etc without any real pain

    Hope you feel better soon

I tried a acupuncture and physio, swimming abs exercise all very good for help with pain.Unfortunately with my problems due to accident I had to have surgery.

I did try acupuncture again after surgery and found it very helpful.hope you find some help with pain.

Hi Rosie I know this is a bit late but I just saw your post. My dad has suffered with sciatica for 26 years now and he is given Tramadol from his GP. He used to be on co proxamol but they were then taken off the market. He has told me he'd find it unbearable without the Tramadol. I don't know if this is a road you'd want to go down as I have read they can be addictive but they do seem quite effective.Hope things have become more bearable.
