i have severe anxiety

I have just started on amitriptyline 3 days on 10mg to start with then upped it to 20mg feeling really sick. How long does it take these meds to kick in and side effects to go away.

    I started on 5 mg then moved to 10 mg. The first 2 or 3 days I was really tired but that wore off after about 3 days and I felt pretty normal. Hang in there

    I am on it for Amitriptyline for migraines and anxiety. It didn't seem to be helping much for anxiety. It helped with my difficulty with sleeping and the dizziness I was having with migraines

      Dr. said it would take the edge off of anxiety but I was only on 10MG maybe a higher dosage would have helped

      I am not going to take any more not putting myself through these side effects thanks anyway.
