I have shingles and edema, what can I do to relieve the swelling in my legs and arms?

I recently began experiencing symptoms of Shingles. It began with severe muscle pain and skin sensitivity beginning at my left hip and ending right below my knee. Anytime my skin was touched it burned. I also noticed my legs and arms were bigger than normal. Indentions took a long time to disappear. My PCP diagnosed me with sciatica. But due to my recent covid vaccination and 2nd shot scheduled two days after this initial appointment, I could only be prescribed muscle relaxers and Tylenol. That combination helped me to sleep at night, although nothing helped with the burning sensation of my skin. Two day later, I received my 2nd Covid Vaccination shot. 12 hours after my shot, I noticed a pimple like rash right above my left knee. I called my PCP and was told it was not related to sciatica and to use cortisone creams. The next day, there was more bumps. The third day resulted in more spots but they all looked blistery. I went into the after hours clinic and was diagnosed, right away, with shingles. That Dr added on an antiviral and gabapanten. He confirmed swelling in my legs but, once again, due to the covid vaccine, I could not take steroids.

Has anyone experienced edema with shingles and how can I reduce this, at home, without medication?
