I have suffered excruciating pain while going the bathroom! Wondering if it is anal fissure?

Hi,
I am unable to eat food without suffering horrible pain when I finally go to the bathroom. The pain is so extreme I almost pass out and I scream in agony. I have felt I was having a heart attack from it many times. I have been constipated for years now and have lived off of senna, dulcolax, and high doses of magnesium. My stomach also feals raw inside and like it has a fever. Right before a severe flare up, my legs and feet become extremely sore! It is almost like a form of tetany in my muscles. Does this sound like anal fissures? Thanks for any feed back!

Go to the doctors and find out.
Fissures are indeed very painful, but just reading through the comments you will see that there are different ways of (at the least) aliavating the pain. Please go to the Docs.

My legs and hips feel like they are constantly crampy and sore. My OPINION is that its from being so tense and also frim the infection. Ive had staff before and it will feel like a broken bone within a foot in every direction from your infection.

I am sorry for your pain and I certainly know what you are going through. While I didn't have pain in my legs, the bowel movements were unbearable and lasted for several hours. It was a pain that brought me to my knees. It does sound like a fissure. Get to the doctor right away. The longer you wait the longer it takes to heal. I waited too long. I am on my third different cream ( 4 months later) and I did a ton of research and found Wheatgrass cream. People have sworn by it. I bought it online. I use it with the prescription cream. My extreme pain has been reduced to moderately uncomfortable. I am still not out of the woods. They say it can take up to 6 months to heal. Its so horrible. My pain was so bad that.I really wanted to die. Don't wait and try the Wheatgrass cream. Get to the doctor immediately. Let me know if you have any more questions.

I am sorry to hear about your pain. I have gone through the same frustrations of SEVERE anal pain for 8 months now. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't have rectal pain.
It first started out as having pain so bad I would shake, sweat and feel like I was going to pass out. Then it started bleeding, itching, sharp stabbing pain, aching and felt like I was giving birth every time I had to go #2.
Here recently I have been trying something new and I hope it helps others that read this. All of the 20 doctors I saw for this always said you have hemorrhoids, you have an anal fissure, you have an anal pile or you have a thrombosed hemorrhoid. Lidocaine didn't help, Rx strength hemorrhoid cream, and a compounded ointment never came close to fixing my problem.
So I have recently discovered that after I go to the bathroom, I never try to make any other muscles move, other than letting the #2 come out naturally and not having to push too hard. I wait until I have to absolutely go to the bathroom and try not to push too much. Having a high fiber diet helps with this tremendously. When I wipe my toushy, I pull up on my rectum to stretch it. Just enough to where it gives me a little relief. If it gives you relief from the pain, you know you found the right stretch for your rectum. I know this sounds a little odd, but it helps. I would try anything to get relief from this awful pain. Every person that I see walking normally, sitting normally, working out like a normal person, I'm jealous because I want to be able to run, jump, skip and plop down on couch too.
I believe I have muscle spasms after going to the bathroom, but I am still bleeding. I know I will have to get a colonoscopy soon, but for the meantime, if I can reduce the pain heck yeah, sign me up!! I hope this helps you and others. Take care.
