i had unprotected anal sex with a guy on the july 29th and i want to say not even a week later i got these ulcer things on the shaft of my penis didnt think anything of it at first but they got worse they hurt when touched and some are filled with puss, i popped 2 of them fir a couple of days and then new ones started showing up since they kept popping in my underwear. my lymph nodes are swollen in my groin, i had flu like symptoms first and the back of my throat hurt very badly and sort if felt like strep throat. these are what the sores look like, they look more like hiv sores to me when i google it but my friend says its most likely herpes. any suggestions on what it might be? image image

Sure I'd be concerned with herpes but I'd be more concerned with monkey pox here. Please go see a doctor

looks mostly like herpes with the possibility of monkey pox. wrap it up next time my friend, unprotected anal is the easiest way to transmit most sexual diseases.

I agree with the others that it highly looks like monkey pox with a possibility of Herpes which neither would kill you. I would be more concerned with the possibility of catching HIV. Sores from HIV usually doesn't develop until the later stages as AIDS lingers near. Having unprotected anal sex as a gay man puts you at a higher risk of catching the virus. I highly recommend getting tested in 4 weeks and if you're negative please consider going on PRep. It may save your life.
