I have this growth on my soft palate, can this be HPV?

I noticed a growth on my soft palate a few days ago. Is there a way to tell anything by the appearance?

No. You absolutely need to see a doctor or a dentist. You can't get diagnosed on a forum.

Hi, thanks for your answer. I've seen a doctor and he told me that it is an indicator of a viral infection but they can't tell me exactly what it is. He practically told me that it could be anything but told me not to worry about it too much as there's nothing to do other than getting some rest. They made blood tests and all values look good. Not sure what to do now.

I just though maybe someone had a similar growth and could give me an idea.

OK, I had to go to emergency because I had a lot of pain on my throat. A specialist who sounded very confident told me that this is a bacterial infection and because I have no tonsils, it had such a manifestation. Very interesting because all the other doctors (well they were generalists but still) told me I had something viral going on.

In the end I was prescribed Clarithromycin for 6 days. I'll write here if it makes this go away.

After a month, there wasn't any change. I went back to the same doctor. He said that what he meant last time is that what I had there was a residue from my removed tonsil - like it wasn't 100% removed. So I had misunderstood him. I also then happened to have a bacterial infection, which apparently went away with the antibiotic he gave me. He told me that growth must have always been there and it being completely harmless, there's absolutely no need to touch it and it definitely isn't HPV. Just wanted to give a heads up for people experiencing a similar growth in their soft palate.

If you have had it 10 years, I would not be worried at all. Get it checked out for your peace of mind to shut the door on your worry, but if it's been 10 years and it is not growing all over your mouth, you should be fine.

Hi, thanks for your answer, but I don't know since when I have it. I just noticed it around 2 weeks ago. Because my tonsils are removed, I don't usually get a sore throat (actually I can't even remember the last time before this incident) so maybe I never checked there and it was always there, or it's new - I don't know. It didn't respond to antibiotics btw. So I'll wait another week and go to the doctor again.
