i am not on any medication i sometimes have success with controlling my uc. i use psyllium husk  to bulk up my stool but only a couple of times a week not everyday you can develop a tolerance for it. and no food with high fructose i sometimes juice carrots and ginger.If i have diarrhea i will use Imodium A-D brat diet which is bananas ,rice ,apple sauce and toast until diarrhea has subsided. i am aware that every body is different but i hope this will help you.
