Over 2 years ago I was diagnosed with ETD by a leading ENT specialist in my city.I have all the classic symptoms & was told basically to live with it by the doctors.A few weeks ago I had an xray & a very detailed scan & was advised by the senior radiologist that there is no evidence of ETD &this has been confirmed by a different & very senior Ent specialist. The symptoms remain, but no one has ventured any other opinion what the condition could be.DOCTORS ??????

    Hello Michael,

If your ear/ears are blocked and won't shift you do in fact have Eustachian Tube Dysfunction.  Scans, X-rays don't seem to show this condition up.

I've suffered this problem for 34 years now.  Ask your doctor to prescribe FLIXONASE NASULE DROPS (must be the drops and not the SPRAY at this stage.  Us them for the recommended 6 weeks to see if they help.  If they do it will confirm to you have ETD.  I've had another bad episode and started using the again and things have dramatically improved.

Hello anne05078 & thanks for your interest. My ears aren't blocked ,but just have very high pressure in my head which actually gives the feeling of blocked ears.Thankfully no pain, just pressure. I've seen a few specialists, none of who seem to have anything positive to say other than "lets try this & lets try that".

Hi Michael,  I think you may be one of many that is currently having trouble either to be diagnosed with ETD or prescribed the correct medication. Glad you're not suffering with Eustachian Tube Dysfunction as it's a really horrible condition to suffer day in day out and in my case years and years.

    Hope you get sorted.

    Regards Anne
