    Hi Stu,

I'm sorry to hear about your urinary problems and seemingly no definitive investigations until after Christmas.  In the meantime,  do you have a GP you could go to ?  Finer minds than mine will probably chip in with advice for you,  but just in case they don't has a UTI been ruled out ?

Anyway,  all the best for a speedy resolution.

    Regards.

By UTI,  I mean a Urinary Tract Infection which, if so,  ought not to be left until the New Year.

    Hi,

Don't understand why you are waiting so long! I live in Germany and was referrd on a Wed and was seen by a urologist on Thur, agree appointmemts are hard to get but you can sit and wait. I was diagnosed mid Oct & had surgery mid Nov.

Sounds like you need a new Doc! You can go anywhere on the German krankenkasse!

Good luck and don't hang about if you are worried go see yor doc & I hope you get a good outcome.

      Hi Stuart,

I don't know about Germany. In UK if the GP suspects cancer he refers the patient to the consultant on the fast track. Otherwise the normal queue is used.

First things first. Have you had a PSA test? You need at least two tests to get a trend for where your PSA is going. Also, have you had a DRE? Both these tests are very simple and non-invasive and will hopefully provide reassurance. Your specialist will provide more accurate information but from the symptoms you describe I would be thinking BPH or maybe a urinary infection.

    Wishing you all the best.
