    Kenzie,

You can't afford to not get it looked at by an foot and ankle orthopedist. Ankle injuries are, at the best, difficult to treat but not having it treated by a specialist will only result in more problems in the future. I know. I let my ankle injury go for a long time and now I must have surgery. Good luck and keep dancing.

This may sound like a drastic thing to say, but forget all about dancing or any other kind of athletic, ankle-intensive activity, at least for the immediately foreseeable future. If you trash your ankle now, it may well stay trashed for the rest of your life. Even a nasty ankle injury which eventually heals up after quite a long time will still predispose you to suffering from arthritis in the future, and at an earlier age than the rest of your peer group.

If the pain is grinding you down, hobble back to the emergency room, tell it like it is and ask them to advise you on what a person in your position should do.
