How are things going for you now? I have just moved on to the full dose and as yet have no benefits. If anything my hands are stiffer in the mornings. I would love to hear your progress.
All the best for 2009

have you noticed any hair loss while being on sulfasalazine?
if not, how is your hair? are you male or female?

I've been taking Sulfasalazine for 3 months. Hasn't done miracle yet, but I read on many websites that it apparently starts working after 2 months. (?)
Re your question about the hair, I don't know whether this has something to do with above tablets (it might have, I don't know), but what's interesting, one of my doctors asked me if I lose hair during my first appointment, which made me think that losing hair might be one of the symptoms of rheumatism or arthritis? rather than the side effect of medicine.
Worth checking before you put the tablets away.
Good luck.
