i I had chronic urticaria for 4 years in the early 1990s and the only way I got relief was taking daily doses of prednisolone which gave me some better quality of life at the time. After being free from urticaria for almost 10 years it has returned and I am taking zirtek which is giving me some relief but it just comes back . I am trying food elimination at the moment and find that any foods with colouring or artificial flavourings are definit trigger points. I am also trying to eliminate dairy products from my diet which I am sure are causing this problem but its not easy as I am a chef.Otherwise I do not know what to do next I had seen consultants in the 90s but they couldnt offer any help so I can only try food elimination.

Your story sounds a lot like mine. I am wondering if you have found anything that may have helped since you posted your message?
