I just found out my "ingrown hair" is herpes. What do I do now? It hurts and won't go away

I've been in recovery from drug addiction for a few years, I get ingrown hairs and I went to pull it out and now I have an awful infection I looked it up online and it is definitely herpes. I get cold sores on my mouth, I haven't had one in a while. I don't know what to do next I haven't told anyone but I take Valtrex for my cold sore I have that at least. I feel like my life is over but I have yet to see my doctor. There are a few stores that are oozing gross stuff and they hurt and won't go down. I need advice please

I meant sores, not stores. And calling my doctor  first thing tomorrow morning but very scared right now. Who did I get it from? Have I given it to anyone else? Is this why I have been so fatigued the past couple months? I don't know what to do and this is going to be a long night of reflection and wtf

I feel you I felt and still feel the same way but just been praying god sends me the strength to cope with this. Never in a million years tought I would get this. I recently told the person I slept with and he's gonna get checked and if he didn't give it to me it was my ex who I dated for a whole year prior to my current partner. Good luck and I hope everything turns out good for you🙏

First see your doctor and go from there. Definetly keep taking your meds.  How long have you had the sores for? I was recently diagnose with hsv2 and I'm still working on accepting this but I'm sure we all can find something that works for us to lessen outbreaks. go in and get the sores swab before they dissapear.

I've had outbreaks before, I have very sensitive skin but it was razor burn occasionally and ingrown hair, and they went away. Right now it's at four days bad painful sores but I know they are different I've never had these before. When I looked into symptoms that mentioned something about discharge and for the past three months I've noticed a change in there. I've been unusually fatigued and tired and I am just not like that naturally. So I'm just kind piecing it together right now. I see my doctor ASAP but I don't have a car till Wednesday it's in the shop, but I'm calling tomorrow to make my appointment I'm sure they'll get me in pretty quick. I guess I've had the stores I see my doctor ASAP but I don't have a car till Wednesday it's in the shop, but I'm calling tomorrow to make my appointment I'm sure they'll get me in pretty quick. I've had the sores least a week now and I realized they were probably herpes last Tuesday. I've been sorting it out since then

Sorry, my phone is  New and I'm trying to get used to it. I have an ex also Of a year that I'd  rather not talk to, but the most current Ex I cut off all contact he was a nightmare. We shall see, I'm not  going  to fall apart over this but I am going to do the right thing. I'm really bummed because I met a guy I really like and this is so disappointing. Good luck in your journey, if I find anything that may be helpful I will pass it onto you for sure

Thank you. I'll be praying for you.. and every person that's going through this. It's so depressing to think I'll never find someone that will take me like this... all I want at this point is to fill better physically. I read about taking. Certain vitamins that help to minimize a herpes outbreak

I am seeing my doctor tomorrow, it is possible it has spread from my cold sore, I've had herpes simplex virus for about 15 years. This is an entirely new type of outbreak, it looks feels and acts just like herpes. I hope I'm wrong, I will pray for you and everyone else and I will be back to let you know what I find out.

It's no good diagnosing yourself. Get to a doctor asap and have it swabbed. Even doctors make the wrong visual diagnosis sometimes, and only a test can tell you the HSV type, which is important to know. For all you know, it could just be a bacterial infection. Some actually cause ulcers that look like herpes lesions.

If you have existing HSV1, you ought to be immune from acquiring it elsewhere, although exceptions may be possible. Good luck with the testing!
