I just realized I haven't been taking my full dose 👎

I'm supposed to take two Valtrex TWICE a day. I think I did twice on Friday but since it's the weekend and I'm trying to relax before my appointment tomorrow I've only taking two pills once a day. Kinda sucks because I'm still inflamed but otherwise feel fine I just don't want the doctor to start stuff up tomorrow. For a vaginal ultrasound is it the same as a pregnancy ultrasound where they will have a thing on my belly or will they have to go inside??

I'm not actually sure why they are even doing an ultrasound, but vaginal makes it sound like it would be internal.

Did they say a transvaginal ultrasound? Because that's definitely internal/insertive. Guess they are investigating the spotting, because it's not normally used for GH alone.

Well the doctor who wanted to do this was totally confident I didn't have herpes until I brought it up. But his original reasoning for the ultrasound is because he thinks maybe I have a polyp which could be causing the inflammation I'm having. Upon examining me I have a tender area going on in my cervix on the left side. They are also going to do a blood test tomorrow to check for acute herpes. A doctor on this forum I sent pictures to today agrees that I don't look like I have herpes. That makes her the third doctor to say that upon visual inspection. But I know I have something going on it burned on Wed for me to pee when he did that last exam I think he irritated a sore. It's unfortunate I can't see them. I mean I'm happy my vagina looks ok but that makes this all the more difficult to figure out. I'll be happy to get some answers. Maybe I'll be lucky and it won't be herpes after all. I'm just not sure what else it could be. I tested negative for the remaining STDs. All of the issues I've read that cause cervical inflammation don't apply to me. (I.e. Condoms, douching).

I don't remember but it's possible. I was hoping it wouldn't be I don't want him to irritate me again 😕.

Ah, okay, so that's why. Well, unfortunately in that case, it's going to be an internal transvaginal ultrasound to better look at your cervix and pelvic area, but it shouldn't be too uncomfortable. Just ask them to lube it up good, lol!

Thanks!! Are you still awake? I don't know what time zone you're in. Mahouts I just go ahead and take my second dose for today now or will that cause a problem. It doesn't state a time difference just says to take two twice a day.

Doesn't really matter either way. I've seen the dosing stated as two together and two spaced out (morning, night). The latter mainly provides more steady coverage, etc. But since you've already been taking less, it doesn't matter much if you continue to do that as well. Lol, I suspect we are in different time zones, btw!
