How did you get the electric shock and what strength was it, did it throw you or knock you down or out

Usually the effects of electrocution are instant. If your ok now i wouldn't worry.

I grew up on a small farm where we had an electric fence for goats and horses. Over the years i got shocked many times. It's scary, but there is no long term damage.

I've also spent a summer in highschool working with some electricians. All of them have stories of getting shocked now and then. They are all obviously ok now. I also know of electricians who got electrocuted and died. The ones that died of electrical shock all died instantly. The power surge stopped their heart. electrocution

    Hi.

If you can put an antibiotic cream on and a clean bandage/ 2 painkillers if needed; if no cream a clean bandage till you can get the cream. Rest. See your G.P. If you cant see your G.P. if it becomes more painfull and swollen see your G.P. If you develop breathing difficulties or chest pain ring 999.
