I jut got my Syphilis shot yesterday. When will I get better

I made a mistake and had anal intercourse with a guy who was not clean, I did not know this. So 2 weeks went by and I started getting flu like symptoms. I could tell something was def wrong with my body so I went to get tested. That was 4 days ago. My test results came in yesterday and I was upset, deeply upset. So I got the injection to help cure Syphilis same day I found out. Last night I started to get the infamous skin rash associated with this std and it spread to my back and stomach. The holidays are approaching and I need to not look sick. Does anyone know how long its going to stay on my skin post injection? Is there anything I can do to speed up the process? I need help.
