I keep having breakouts from cold sores way to often, what shoulf i do?

So iv gotten cold sores since i was a baby. Iv never broken out more than twice a year. In the past few months i have been breaking out every two weeks. I have a boyfriend that iv been with for a wile now, unfortunately i have given it to him. We are still together, he doesnt break out at all, but for me it has spread to other parts of my body. Iv been getting cold sores around my mouth every two weeks since then. It is depressing the hell out of me, i really dont know what to do. I have no tried suppressive therapy but iv tried lysine
