I keep needing to pee, what should I do?

This is happening every couples of days after I pee I will need to pee still for a few hours but every time I try to nothing comes out maybe the smallest bit and it's painful when I'm trying to pee but can't because there's nothing there but I have the urge as if I'm going to wet myself when I ignore it it's very uncomfortable and when I try to go the pain makes my eyes water what should I do?

Have you been tested for a UTI? Painful urination, frequency and urgency are symptoms of UTI. Ask dr to not only
do a dipstick test in office but send it away for a urinalysis culture.
