I Literally Can Not Sit Down. Has anyone heard of "sitting disability"?

Hi,

In 2000 I was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea, after 6 months of great sleep the "what's causing this, that, and the other thing search began. In 2008 I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Osteoarthritis. 2010 my body began losing it's ability to control its temperature. On July 23, 2012 for no apparent reason it felt like someone pierced my lumbar with a 6 ft. sword and was put on pain medication. MRI's didn't show any kind of damage that was creating this pain with no reason to operate as nothing needed fixing? I lived in Maine for 53 yrs. before moving to Arizona July 2013. Long story short, I was literally butchered by a back surgeon in Tucson. He's been dropped by insurance companies due to fraudulent billing and surgical procedures, my insurance co dropped him and I am not the only patient he's butchered! I was able to get a 2nd opinions on a supposed bone spur he said I had after he was dropped by my insurance as no surgeon would see me until he wasn't on file with me. There is no bone spur in any of the real ex-rays and disks I brought with me. I now know he pulled up a training ex-reay that's used to show students what a bone spur looks like. After each surgeon looked at the MRI's I had before 2 major back surgeries in 2014 they asked me why the surgeon said he needed to operate and what did hs say he was going to fix? Neither surgeon could see anything in the 2014 MRI's that needed surgery, same words I heard in 2012. He operated on me for money, not to help me, which has only tripled the pain. November 2016 it was suggested I have CRPS with no guidance on what that meant, what to do, or who to see for care. Since January 2017 I have not been able to sit down at all, in any type of sitting position. Anytime I sit for a minute or 5 minutes I am crippled in pain, as if there's a vice tightening and locking my lumbar and hips in it's grip. I do have CRPS which is what happen July 23, 2012 when I thought my back gave out which probably started in 2010 when my body wasn't able to regulate its own temp.

Has anyone else not been able to sit down due to severe pain from doing so?

Does anyone have any suggestions on what type of Dr. or specialist I should look for who knows CRPS and who could help figure out why I can't sit?

Thank you,

Elaine

    Hi Laney

You need to find a Physiotherapist who specialises in pelvic pain. These are classic symptoms of pelvic pain that can go untreated and misdiagnosed for years. I would recommend you check out  Check out Amy Stein Healing Pelvic Pain. There are therapists who can help you, but go to the best first because lots of Physios will say they treat pelvic pain, but you really need someone who is works in this day in day out.

There is help, please keep asking.

Thank you so very much! I've been doing Piriformis and Psoas stretches which are helping with waking up to severe hip pain. I'll look into and find guidance. Thank you for giving me hope!
