I look like 9 months pregnant

Hi, thank you ladies who helped me the most difficult time after surgery.

I'm 7 weeks after posterior repair, TVT and slings.

I could managed a long flight few days ago with white socks and aspirin.

Now I'm concerned about 2 things.

I feel some weight in vaginal. When I'm walking, I feel I'm carrying some thing inside and I have to squeeze it to not to drop for gravity.

Also when I woke up from bed, first thing I feel is a weight in my vagina. I feel it's heavy. Do you call this dragging??

Second thing is my big tummy. I look like i'm pregnant. My tummy is quite hard. Is this gas?

Hi gymgirl. How is your recovering going other than above two symptoms? Have you returned to your work? I'm also live in Australia?

Hello! Yep, I work 3 days a week as I have littlies. I returned to work 2.5 weeks after operation. I still have the two symptoms and also have quite a slow urine stream. I'm really worried that I'm not completely emptying so I take my time but will have the specialist check next Tuesday in my post-op appointment. I really don't want to have anything else done!

      How are you going?

Wow, you have already started working. At 2.5 weeks I was in bed all day😭

Me too. It takes more time to finishe wee than before surgery. Hope you are OK at check up.

    Hi tomoko,

At 7 weeks post op can still be quite swollen internally. Probably just overdone things a little what with long flight sitting but try not to worry unlikely that you have done any permanent damage.

Been through repair surgery including hysterectomy twice and both times had swollen abdomen, so think that's pretty normal.

I think almost everyone worries during early weeks post op due to internal swelling and that dragging down feeling that feels like you have reprolapsed, it usually indicates that you have overdone things and need to rest for a few days.

Take care and listen to your body, feet up for a few days and let everyone else take care of you.

Hi phyl, thank you. I didn't think it was swollen internally. You are right. Sitting long hours and walking around airport were too much for post surgery.

I'll my feet up for a couple of days. Thanks.

I am only on day 15 after surgery and I lost a lot of weight feeling nauseous but anoyingly still got an enormous stomach! I am sure it is partly due to being swollen after surgery and also all the air that they pump into you gives you wind. I find it difficult to sit or stand and keep having to perch on my side and feel very tender inside. Thank goodness for all the comments on here to keep us all sane

Hi Angela, I was so much in pain until 3 weeks. At 4 weeks, I felt like I turned the corner. You will feel better soon.
