I'm always ill after going out

Hi,

this had this issue for a few months and I've tried different things but nothing seemed to be working. When I used to go on a night out the next day I'd get really ill, at first I thought it was a normal hangover. Then it continued, I used to get ill half way through the night and I'd have to go home early. It was almost like as soon as I was sick I couldn't stop it, at first I used to get an uncomfortable feeling in my stomach that would draw my attention to it and it would continue being sick. The sickness would carry on well through the night and to the next evening, I would get shortness of breath and lethargic and usually stay in bed all day. At first I thought it was alcohol so I went on a few nights out and I didn't drink however it received the same outcome and there were other times that I went for a drink with my parents and I would be fine. I went to the doctors and was given anti sickness medication which didn't seem to help. There was also a thought that it could be due to the stress of exams but I have completed them and I still portray the symptoms. Then I got into contact with Minds Matter and they believed it could be anxiety so I started cognitive behavioural therapy which does not seem to be helping. Now I'm not sure what to do or what it could be and I feel like I'm at my wits end. I know not going out could be an option but I want to join in with friends and celebrate events such as results day which is next week but I feel like I can't without suffering the repercussions.

Does anybody have any advice or similar experiences?

It would appear to be more mental than physical. Seek some psychological help.

      Interesting...

I have actually started to think that this may be stress related? I don't feel stressed out but have a stressful job.

Have you noticed a pattern? Is it certain places that cause you to be sick while you are fine at others? Might be worth keeping track of. I personally cant be in water damaged buildings without starting to get a headache and feel bad. Just a thought. Hope you find answers. Best of luck
