I'm 30 and originally got diagnosed at 17 but had many other health issues in between so concentrated on them but now I'm married and healthy and want a baby just hoping it happens

Have you had medication for pcos? I'm only 17 myself however my doctor told me she won't give me any medication for my pcos until me and my boyfriend are trying for a baby. If you haven't been on medication you could go to your GP and find out what they could do?

I have been put on medication before. I was on metformin but I reacted really bad on that. I was put on the contraceptive pill when I was younger to give me regular periods because I was having 1maybe 2 periods a year. Your doctor is right that you can't have the fertility meds unless you and your boyfriend are trying for a baby but if your periods are very irregular there's things you can take to help as it can damage you in the long run not having regular periods.

My doctor said she won't give me anything for it at all, it's made me put on so much weight and that got me so depressed. but she's still not giving me anything for it.
All the best
