I'm confused whether I have IBS or Ulcerative Colitis/Crohn's Disease.

Hello all. I want to give a brief overview of myself before I get onto talking about the main subject. I'm new to this forum, I'm 27 years old and I'm male from Northern/Western Europe.
Okay, here goes. I suffer from bowel problems that occasionally improve to some extent and they also occasionally get worse to some extent. When I go the toilet I seem to have sticky stool and/or the stool doesn't fully come out and I have a feeling that I have to go again (and I usually do). However, I've managed to find a rather simple but complex work around to my problem but it doesn't always work. Basically I have to drink 250ml of water every 30 or 45 minutes of the day, which in return makes me urinate a lot more (I deal with this because the other trade off is having intense bowel pains and sticky stools). I don't smoke or drink and I try my best to eat enough fibre and fresh vegetables/fruits (some cause more problems, so I avoid them). I'm also lactose intolerant and have problems with eggs, beans (baked beans) and wholemeal bread (I guess the fibre in the bread), so I avoid regular dairy and eggs/beans because I either get diarrhoea or sticky stools. I've been tested for coeliac disease 5 years ago and the test came back negative as far as I'm aware. I don't know how much longer I can go on feeling like this because it's debilitating and its actually affected my already poor mental health (maybe my mental health exacerbates the entire situation). I'm so confused so I'm trying my best to look for advice or people experiencing something similar to what I'm experiencing. I'll add more details after I've posted this. I'm sorry for being so graphic about this. I'm currently doing a clear out with osmotic laxatives to see if that improves anything (it did for a few months last year so I'm acting based on my previous experiences). I'm also concerned that I may have a parasite. I feel so worried and confused on where to begin/start with my situation. Also, I forgot to add that I have to strain to get my stools out regardless of what I do and sometimes I'm on the toilet for up to an hour... 😞

hi v.i.k.i, i have read your post and think you have ibs with constipation, does it hurt when you go to the loo without the water? i know you were tested for coeliac disease 5 years back but your bowel habits have changed again, go to your doctor and ask if you can be tested for other things apart from coeliac disease oh and ask for some FYBOGEL or LAXIDO, your bowel will work without all the water. good luck, push for it!
