Hello

Im 18 and suffer with health anxiety.

Ive had checks from my gp and the hospital and im all clear. it started about 10 weeks ago. i feel like i really cant breathe and my chest/stomach area feels weird and tight. ive been told its anxiety, but the symptoms never go away, they are just more bareable at times. im so convinced i have a lung condition. I just want to be able to breathe comfortably again. It has completely taken over my life. i try and go for walks but its so uncomfortable, to the point where i spend 20 hours a day in bed. I dont want to constantly contact my gp, i feel as if i will annoy them.

I know how distressing it can feel. It’s the nature of anxiety. sounds like you’ve been checked over and everything is OK.

consider speaking with a therapist who can help you with feeling better. They can show you what to do to ease the breathing. Anxiety is the number one reason that people visit counselors so you would be in good hands.
