I'm freaking out right now, is this normal?

I have both anxiety and acid reflux, I went to the ER when I had sensations of food stuck and throat pain, got checked out without no x-rays or scope and they told me if something big how the food I was describing was lodged into my throat, I would be choking by now and would have to arrive in an ambulance. They said my oxygen level was normal at 99, I told them sometimes when I drink I feel it through my chest and sometimes back up into my esophagus and they answered by saying GERD can do that too, not just with food and it's normal to feel water go through my chest when swallowing it down, as long as I'm not choking or coughing from it. The doctor recommended me to see a therapist for my anxiety and told me to relax that I'll be fine since everything seems to be normal. But I have severe anxiety disorder and I'm still worried something could be stuck inside, even though I ate perfectly fine yesterday, just the water part coming back up is my concern as well. I'm really anxious right now and don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

hi shanny! i too share the same problem ! one day i felt like food is stuck in throat and got panic went to ENT ! he checked my throat and told everything is fine and suggested me to consult a psyciatrist! anxiety can cause so many symptoms ! for me when i feel anxious i dont eat in fear of chocking! even when drinking water i feel them going down and fear they enter lungs ! but end of the day we will be fine ! for me anxiety medication have helped! your nervous system will be calm and u do what u do so no worries!

Thank you for the response! And it was a throat infection, but still worried on it being food possibly stuck there, my ENT used a tongue blade to check the back of my throat and a flashlight when he realized it right away, but should of mentioned if he could scope my throat to check just in case, but I can eat, drink and talk normally, even though I feel that sensation there, which is most likely my acid reflux.
