I'm getting stabbing pains in my ear now as well as my face.

Hi,

Ive increased my dosage of Pregabalin to 100mg twice a day. I know you have to allow a week for it to take effect. But I just don't understand how 75mg has been ok for me for weeks now my TN has decided to breakthrough it. My face is stinging, I'm getting sharp shooting pains through my lower right side back teeth, and now I'm getting sharp, stabbing pains right inside my right ear. I've not had the ear symptom before, why now I don't know.

What worries me is what happens if Pregablin is not suitable for me anymore in my bloodstream like Tegretol did? Meantime I'm still in pain and not getting anywhere. It's been 10months nearly since TN came back and I'm still without suitable medication.

Anyone here tried that Anti-Varicose vein tablets to get rid of the TN?

      Hi Maggie,

Since increasing Pregabalin to 100mg twice a day the pain has finally stopped. Fingers crossed. But unfortunately my past 9 months on and 9 months remission has gone out of the window. God knows how long I will have this for. I'm seriously thinking of taking Anti-Varicose vein tablets to see if that works. Don't know yet if anyone else has tried that.

      Hi Genny

Sorry to learn that you're not getting any help from your insurance. Have you been to see your Dr? Has he referred you for an MRI scan? Are you on any medication and if so what are you taking for it?

Let us know how you get on?

I am also getting stabbing pains in my ear too and it's horrible. The Doctor at the pain clinic looked at me gone out and said I am an unusual case and now referring my to a ear nose and throat specialist. My doctor is reluctant to do any procure other than constant med cocktails. I am going to insist on something more invasive but which one?
