I’m going crazy with this neverending infection

Posted , 3 users are following.

I’ve had BV issues nonstop since August 2017.

Basically, my discharge smells like chemicals or chlorine sometimes. I used to have clear, mucus-like discharge and now I get only two types of discharge: either it looks like someone spilled water on my panty crotch or it’s a white, thick, lotion-y tecture discharge.

My taste has changed too.  My partner says I used to have a metallic taste and now it’s sour and tangy.

I can’t take it anymore. I have gone to Urgent Care and my gynecologist a billion times.

All I get are antibiotics and then it comes back again. I take a 25 billion culture probiotic too and that doesn’t help either. I seriously cannot deal with this anymore and I’m still a dependant on  my parent’s health insurance and they say they’re tired and don’t want to take me to the doctors anymore.

:”( I’m so sorry You are not alone. I have also had BV for 2 years and it’s the worst. It’s ruined my life... I would tell you some miracle cure if I knew what that was. Nothing seems to stop it. I hope you find a remedy that works for your body.

Hello Nicolette, Have you looked at having pain and sleep medication?  There are non-opoid tablets as the condition is extremely painful and uncomfortable.I feel these aspects of this condition are swept to one side by the Medics.  Have you had thrush?  This is also underated by the Medics I feel. On websites thrush is devalued in the serious conditional aspect.  Have you looked at changing food in your diet?  Friends can be more understanding than you think. A lot of the time women keep things to ourselves, however it does feel as if your life is ruined.  The condition is embarrassing and humiliating. Practically given up here.  "Hang on in there".  I have had antidepressants but that made the pain worse.  Today I have started vitamin B complex tablet and possibly that may help you as the stress is phenominal with this condition. Try not to worry.  Have you been able to go out to take your mind off of the complaint?  Doctors, I feel should know more about the condition and what to do. Thrush can spread throughout the body, called systemic thrush, even affecting the brain.  Have something for that to hand.  It can make you confused. The conditions are emotionally negative as suffering know full well.  It is miserable.  Sometimes I write a note of what I want to do, make a list of things you want to do in the evening and it might just be that the next day you can do one or more of things things.  A good sleep as I see things is very beneficial because you are suffering too much as you say.  Well, let us know how you are.  I had thought of lobbying MP's as that may encourage the whole world of women in the gynaelogical field that whatever is wrong needs sorting out a lot faster than and if it ever is.

Dear Nicolette I know that you have not asked for medicinal advice but it may be worth using.  I was taking Nefopam (Acupan) tablet which really helped but for me it had its down side as medication can.  I was in a black mood then not able to do anything but suffer from hallucinations.  Having said this, not everone reacts as badly.  What might be possible then is take something for the hallucination.  This is difficult because those tablets make you fat with high chlorestrial and thinking is a battle.  Nefopam did work.  Other things that may help are tranquilzers becasue the condition affects the nervous system.  As well as a sleep medication.  Nefopam is different from standard analgesics.  Please do look them up. Wikipeadia is a good place.  If you can go for a short walk and be active daily it will make you stronger.

Let me know how you are.  Other medication is the anti-epeliptics, which of course may work but have adverse affects, one of which is psychosis.  There are two that I have read that work better than others, one beginning with p and tegretol.  Your doctor may prescribe them or a specialist.  There are pain specialists who should prescribe these tablets.  I hope you will let me know how things are for you.  I have been very ill and have not been able to take a proper interest in other people and sufferers. I was in town a few days ago, the day I went to Accident and Emergency as the systemic yeast was causing me problems such as being in my head, feeling confused.  It can go to your heart and eyes, making a person die or go blind.  So on the way there I gave a busker some money.  It is helpful to help others when we can.  sometimes an infection will just go, just like that. I know this because some years ago with a different infection lasting months into years, it was gone. Try and reduce on stress whatever that is.  If it interest you and you feel up to it to go out to a yoga class. Do as much as can, do not be pressurised into doing more. Do things at your own pace.  You are precious.
