I'm having discomfort with my medical boot...

I'm wearing a medical boot for 8 weeks for posterior tibial tendonitis. The problem is that the other side of my ankle does not have enough support. I've tried adding extra cushioning but it doesn't help. I'm not sure what to do. I work at a gas station, on my feet 9 hours a night. I can't afford to take off any more time. Does anyone have any suggestions about what I can do to make this boot more comfortable and supportive for the outer portion of my ankle?
TIA!

Try a good ankle brace, Dicks Sporting Goods sell some for athletes. I would try to get a good ankle brace.

Hi Nicole,
By now, I'm sure you've figured a way to find comfort and support in your boot. But I was going to suggest wrapping your ankle with an ace bandage and then putting on the boot. Also, the fabric/craft stores sell padding that is used for quilting and things like that. You could buy a small piece of padding and add it to the inside of your boot.
Good luck! Wishing you a speedy recovery.

The boot I had was adjustable by adding air to it, it was really adjustable, if its possible you could add a ankle sleeve under the boot. so its not rubbing right against your skin. Next time see if you get get something called a air boot. it has hard plastic on the outside with an adjustable air like balloon in side that can be adjusted by blowing air into it through a tube.
