I’m having symptoms of a heart attack but they’ve been happening for days! Help!

Hi, I’m 17 years old and have been dealing with anxiety since the 6th grade. Most of my anxiety is centered around health such as the fear of having cancer and ultimately it leads to my fear of dying which is terrible. I have gotten a lot better with dealing with my anxiety through therapy. For maybe a year now i have experienced sharp heart pains and shortness of breath. My parents have brought me to doctors and they say my heart is fine and my vitals are all good. My parents take my claims seriously but they wonder if it’s my anxiety making me feel this way. It’s a possibility i know it can happen but i do not feel worried about anything at all. I’m wondering if it can be subliminal. The symptoms have gotten so bad this past week and that is leading to anxiety. Someone please tell me that I’m not having a heart attack lol and that anxiety can cause these feelings even if I’m not worried. Maybe it’s heartburn lol.

You’re not having a heart attack. If you’ve been looked at by a doctor they usually test your heart. I was the same way had my heart tested in a few different ways and the conclusion was that my heart was healthy and they were fairly certain I wasn’t at risk to develop any kind of heart problems. If you had a heart attack you’d get pain/pressure in your chest, pain in your arm and it wouldn’t linger around for days or weeks. You’re also very young for those issues, I’m 28 and even I’m pretty young for that. I have healthy anxiety too. Get yourself some exercise, strengthen your heart and feel more at ease about your heart health.

Listen, youre not having a heart attack. & im not just saying that to make you feel better because i know how it feels. I get chest pain/tightness, nausea, shortness of breath, lightheadedness, you name it. but if you were checked out, & the doctor doesn't have any concerns, you need to calm down. worrying about it going to make you feel better. it's going to feel worse. ask yourself, "is worrying going to benefit me?" everytime you feel like you wanna panic. if you were having a heart attack it would've been happened. & youre 17, it's extremely unlikely lol. just calm down. meditate. excersise. ease your mind. eat right & i promise you it'll go away. your mind is a VERY powerful thing. & if you keep worrying your going to freak yourself out. & that's exactly what your doing. I've been in your position. I've been to the er 3 times, & even seen a cardiologist. 3 ekgs, 3 chest x rays, bloodtests, a holter monitor, ecg, a stress test allat & there's nothing wrong. I'm only 16. it feels like youre going to die but i promise you your not. hang in there xoxo

heart attacks don't linger around like that. & really the only people that have them are either obese, diabetic, have a heart problem or smoke. assuming that you don't have any of those problems, the probability of you having a heart attack is EXTREMELY low. there's people who are 800 lbs. with congestive heart failure who haven't had heart attacks lol. watch my 600 lb. life it'll make you feel better. so you have an actual idea of what heart problems really look like 😂
