Your BG reading of 69 is somewhat low, but it's not horribly low. So first, what does your doctor say about it? There are other tests to try to find out why it is low, but of course first we should ask about your diet - what had you eaten in the twelve hours before the "random" test? And, you might want some more tests, random and fasting, to see what kind of numbers you get during the day, before meals, one hour after meals, two hours after meals. Just a single number is not enough to go on.

It's easy to raise your BG - just eat something! But just what to eat, is the question. A good balanced diet will not raise your BG too high, and it will slowly release its BG through digestion - have a low "glycemic index".

Do you have a home BG test kit? You may want one, available at any drug store, but I guess the doctor has to prescribe it if you want insurance to pay for it, but about a hundred dollars will buy you a meter, a little spring-loaded finger-pricker, test strips, lances, and alcohol wipes for 90 days, which is pretty much the full kit.

So meanwhile, if you feel weak, have a little snack, see if that helps! And discuss it with your doctors for a more thorough response.

I would try to add some more protein and some more fiber to that, an egg, or some kind of meat, or nuts, or cheese. And maybe a small salad, with lettuce and arugula, even for breakfast, or a stick of celery, or anything similar.

Some people have something called "reactive hypoglycemia", if you have too many fast carbs your body processes them fast, and then keeps right on going and lowers our BG a little too much. Dates apparently can cause this, have a lot of fast sugars, and honey, too. Apples should be better.

Not sure what a "pulmonogram" is - blood pressure test???

He is trying to say Pulmonologist and this is about the the 5th time he's changed his username. He needs help and not medical. He needs to get is attention seeking behavior under control. Trust me. He has been doing this well over a year now and many people on this site are tired of him.

I've seen some of the previous posts and never responded, but this seemed to at least report a specific issue.

I don't know about his overall story, but I completely understand how people can be overwhelmed by symptoms and underwhelmed by the medical system's responses, that not only fail to cure, because ultimately that is limited, but also fail to clarify what is going on.

Of course an Internet forum isn't going to fix everything either.

You can eat eggs if you wanted too you just don't eat the yokes. The yokes have the cholesterol in them. Wheat bread is not any better either. Dude you know you can open a book and do some research or online instead of expecting everyone to give you the answer. You say you're like 37 or whatever so that means you didn't really have the internet when you where a kid which means you opened a book and figured it out on you're own. I didn't have the internet when I was a kid. You're either extremely uneducated or have an attention seeking behavior disorder. I think attention seeking disorder.

Is your cholesterol very high? You should discuss that with the doctors. In general you can eat moderate amounts of chicken, fish, and even eggs, red meat, and cheese - dietary cholesterol is only loosely tied to your blood levels.

If you're not eating meat, are you taking vitamins, especially B12?

And there are always nuts - walnuts, almonds, pistachios, peanuts are a bit different, then all the others, too.

Sir i have i high bp problem . So i try to control it. So i dont eat any item thats has chestrol and fats. So i dont eat chiken red meat and nuts because all these items has fat. That 8s bad for heart patient. My chestrol is 154. You yold me about B12 vitamin. Is it call B complex syp.

What mean by your this sentence "dietary cholesterol is only loosely tied to your blood levels."

And one another words you write that " moderate amount" what its mean.

Can i improve my sugar level to eat good food.?

Yes, eating well is very important to controlling your sugar level.

Blood pressure is not the same thing as cholesterol levels. You should discuss this with your doctor or a nutritionist, you seem confused about several things.

B12 is one of the vitamins in the "B complex", if you read the label on a bottle of B complex vitamins you will see B12, but especially if you are not eating meat, you should probably take B12 separately.

I think you need to discuss diet with even your cardiologist, who will probably refer you to a nutritionist. Please read on the Internet for more about diet, or look for books, or even talk to other people you know. Most doctors don't like to talk about diet directly, but they will help you find others to talk to - and it can be VERY IMPORTANT, even if the doctors aren't the ones to help you.

You will go around in a circle with him. He will give you a reason why he can't do something or deflect you're question. He will even say he has tried that. He has said he has seen as many as 10 cardiologists. I wouldn't waste you're time if I were you.

Sugar test can be taken any time - SHOULD be taken as often as possible, diabetics take is several times a day. You can fix your blood sugar within one day - even within one hour!

Have a chicken sandwich and a salad, and your blood sugar will probably be OK for the next six hours. It will not hurt your blood pressure or your cholesterol.

If you fix your diet it may fix your heart symptoms, it may take a few weeks at this point, but I'll bet you start feeling better within just a day or two.

You can generally eat all the nuts you like, unless you have a problem with your pancreas or other specific reason. Beans are generally good too, though not necessarily ideal for blood sugar. Get some protein!!!

In the US and I believe UK there are many of these at any large drug store. I use a "Contour Next EZ" from a company Ascensia, but even the drug store has their own brand, you can see these on Amazon or other online sources. Looks like the whole kit is $40 on Amazon including 50 strips. 400 more strips for $77.
