Hi all!!

I do hope your all keeping well.

I have a question, I am in receipt of UC for single person which is £317 per month and I get PIP, Standard for living and Enhanced for Mobility.

I have used a benefit calculator and it states I should be in receipt of nearly £500 of UC based on my PIP. is this true?

I'm single and still living at home with parents.

I also would like to know if what the chancellor said yesterday about UC will effect me.

Hope someone could help me.

thank you x

    Hi,

Your PIP award will have no affect on your UC claim and how much you're entitled to at all. £317 per month is the standard allowance for over 25's which is correct. Benefit calculators are only as good as the information you put into them.

If you have a limited capability for work then you send in fit notes to start the LCW process off.

The announcement made by the Government yesterday is for everyone claiming UC. Standard allowance will be increased for you for 12 months from 6th April 2020 and you will receive £409.89 per month instead of the usual £317 but that amount includes the April benefit increase.
