I'm in week 5 of sertraline and tge anxiety is back sky high. I can't handle this.

Week 5 and my anxiety is sky high today.

Do I need to change anti depressants or is this just going to be a bad day??

I'm in tears at work

      They might have to raise ur dose I was on 50 mg and was not doing any good for me so now I'm on 100 mg and its starting to help the only thing I'm still getting is a fast rapid heart beat so u might wanna talk to ur doctor... Hope this helps you..... GOD BLESS

      No I was switched 5 weeks ago from pristiq as I had had 3 bad episodes in 18 months

      I spoke to my dr on the phone and she's told me to take 2 50mg tablets daily. Valium when necessary.

      How long have you been on 100mg ?

      No have delved into it briefly with the psychologist.

    I would try and hold out a bit longer. You are already five weeks in. I have bad days on Sertraline too. What gets me through is knowing that it's one bad day instead of every single day like before I started taking it. I have meditation and breathing techniques for bad days. Maybe try that? I hope you're feeling better! Just remember you're not alone!

      It's so very difficult. I'm trying my hardest. . I want to be a good parent.

      Valium is helping me out.

    Oh, Jane, I know how awful you feel.  The crying and high anxiety are awful to deal with.  I did lots of slow, deep breathing all day long. It helps.  Even slow rhythmic breathing at your desk or wherever,  close your eyes, will help. Hang in there.
