I'm new to a discussion of this disease.

I am not suicidal in the least but I sure am not nearly as afraid of death as I am of living in this pain and discomfort for my next 10 or 20 years.

I'm 68 and have had this for about 10 years.  It is getting worse and at a alarming speed.

I'm on lyrica and used to be cymbalta as well, but I was in such a fog I was not handling my life very well.  I elected to give up the cymbalta for that reason and the fog is better but the pain is all consuming.

Hello, I was looking through the forum for the first time in some time and noticed this hadn't been replied to.

Just to say, I know what you mean with this. I'm 38 and the thought of living another 40 + years with this much pain can get overwhelming. I have a strong faith that helps keep my mind set on living each day at a time - I think it's probably the only way to do this and not become overwhelmed.

How are you doing at the moment?
