There is so much wonderful information on this forum, it will take you days to go through! I was diagnosed 9 weeks ago and hv tried several things. These are my thoughts in a nutshell:

-During a flare I used Emuaid Maxx and then Regular Emuaid it got rid of all pain and itching.  A cool washcloth between my legs after every pee to blot, never rub, and then a moisture barrier ( mine was aloe with vit A, D, E from Medline )

-I cut wheat, sugar, most carbs from my diet and follow a low- oxalate plan ( no whole grains, no nuts, seeds, no chocolate, no potatoes, no spinach, etc)

    - I use a dab of coconut oil or emuaid to keep things moisturized down there.

    - If I feel a tingle or throb I use a tiny ( less than a pea) amt of Clob ( script from Dr.) only on that spot and rub it in for at least 90 seconds.

    - I use vmagic to lubricate duri g sex

    - I wash with Cetaphil or Emuaid mousture bar in shower ( left ot in there for hubby to use too)

    - lower your stress!!! Yoga, meditation, deep breathing!

    - I amped up my supplements to balance my immune system and take Vit D3, Vit K2, Magnsium, Vit A, Boron, Selenium, Folate, Calcium ( at night) and my Ultra Woman formula multi-vitamin.

    - Beware of herbs such as echinechea ( auto immune stimulator) that can actually speed up the disease. Use auto- immune moderators like ginsing and cinnamon instead.

    - 100% organic cotton tampons and pads, underwear

    - no fabric softener sheets ( contain fiberglass) , I use Seventh generation paper sheets or uou can use liquid.

Don’t panic, don’t overthink and come here often to vent and for support.

    Good luck!

    Hi Debbie

Diet is key for me.  No sugar is the main thing, but I also am gluten/dairy free.  I also do things like use unbleached toilet paper, don't use soap down there, go commando whenever possible, double rinse my undies and use fragrance free soap powder.

I have put my LS into remission through diet. Good luck!!!
