What are you taking? Im on bio-identical hormone therapy vaginal suppository. Had saliva tested for hormones. Very progesterone an low estrogen. Had hormones made esp for me in what Im low at. Compounding Pharmacy made them. $52 a mnth. Im n US. Texas. I found out I started menopause in Aug. An became very depressed fr Sept thru Dec. Started hormones at end of Nov. Also started Lexapro in Dec. It could take 3 mnths for hormones to regulate after starting hormones. I haven't had any side effects except a little wt gain. These hormones are more natural than synthetic ones like PremPro, etc... sounds like allergic reaction to hormone with you itching an all. Talk to your Dr. Goodluck. I have to care for my parents both 80. My suster lives in another city an doesn't help much. I do just about everything for them. They dont drive. I also have a husband an two kids. Very stressful. I pray for some calm for you. Dont be bullied!

I've heard about the atopic symptoms, although my skin improved pretty much straight away (less dry) then the spots restarted :S I'm no health professional but that sounds like you need to consult your GP, sounds like a possible allergic reaction to something in the preparation.

Only 4 days it is unlikely the HRT has kicked in yet ?Unless you are allergic to something .. If it's patches I know my sister in- law was allergic to the glue in the patches so I would go to see your doctor ..Tesco may not be your favourite store but shouldn't make you cry ...only joking.I hope you feel better soon.Jane

    Hi Julie,

I have been using patches for ten years and I have all the symptomps you describe but I never thought of associating them to the patches. I have loads of itchy, rednes on the skin where the patch is attached. Perhaps after a while one is bound to develop a form of allergy to the vinile glue they use to stick the piece of plastic to the skin. It's a possibility and perhaps I should also try some alternatives.
