Did they check you for asthma or pneumonia?  A lung infection will give you the chest and mid back pain, you might need a course of steroids.

Pneumonia is just a more severe infection and you would get all the symptoms of a chest infection plus the fever and chills.

I had it year before last, they thought I just had a normal infection, I have asthma, it took 6 sets of xrays over different days to diagnose.  The tiredness was something else.

    Hope you get better soon

If it was me I'd go to ER. It may be that you need the meds intraveneously, the dispersement agent on what you're taking might not be effective in you.  They'll be able to do an xray and see if you have more fluid buildup at least.  For what it's worth it took 6 weeks of continuous steroids and antibiotics for me to get over it but the downside of all the meds and pneumonia meant my immune system was in the basement and I picked up everything because I could fight nothing off.  It may be that you have picked up something else on top of everything.  Take care of yourself, it's a nightmare I know but it will get better.
