I m on day 13 th of Citalopram, i still have side effects like palpitations ,muscle twitching

day 13 on citralopram and i still have side effects like palpitations, muscle twitching special in the night time,tremors all day,horrible mornings feelings...the doctor told me they should go after 2 weeks ....i dont trust them at all.they just try medicine on us like we try clothes in the shop.

    Hi what dose are you on? When i changed my dose from 10mg to 20mg i also started with the muscle twitching! My GP says its a normal common side effect and it is listed as a common side effect in the leaflet. It should wear off, 13 is early days and your anxiety will be worse before it gets better. If the twitching doesn't subside after a few months i believe it could mean the dose it too high for your body as everyone tolerates these meds differently x

    Two weeks is not nearly enough time. Give it three months without changing the dose before you change anything.

    it's all the meds side effects and u are on early days

    they all will go in do time and it will take time don't get me wrong

    like most people it takes 3 month not 2 weeks did not do it for me

    I'm on the first day of week 12 and still get side effects and anxiety and crying

    just not like on the beginning when starting . Are u seeing changes if so u seen it work already

    it took me a long time to see any thing chance 😡 it was hard and I would not think it works for me

    but now I see some so I will continue to stay on it

    I hope it gets better for u down the ways let me know if u like we are here for u

    These are all definite side effects I still get the muscle twitching 6 months on citalopram last 5 months on 30mg but mentally I have improved so much and am now recovering well

      yes me ☺

      now 12 weeks in and still have nausea and headaches early in the mornings

      but they will go I know in time as this meds works slow

      Not at 6 weeks but the first 2 weeks. And I love food! It felt bizarre to not want to eat.
