I'm pretty sure yesterday was my first outbreak..

No flu like symboms or anything, just started feeling a pain in my butt crack area (sorry I dont know what else to call it). I look like a small rash and a few tiny bumbs over it. At first I thought it was from my wax but I realized it was painful and didn't look like a regular reaction from a wax. I compared my bumps to the ones I've seen online and it def looks simliar.  I'm so scared. I'm only 23, I know I need to get tested but I dont have health insurance, I'm single, and I'm so scared.

Go to the doctors now!! The longer you wait the more miserable you'll be I promise you. I waited a week before starting the medication and I am on day eleven of my first outbreak and I am FINALLY able to walk and be productive. My beginning symptoms were exactly like yours are too.. I really don't think it will be that expensive since you don't have health insurance, but you literally have to get it. It's miserable sad

You're 23, I've read stories of people who are 19 and have it. I'm 21 and yes it sucks. I've recently been diagnosed and I'm trying to figure everything up. The best thing to do is get tested, if this is your first outbreak you need to wait a few weeks for the blood test to be positive. In the mean time I suggest going to the doctor to get valtrex to help with the symptoms. Remember knowledge is power so educate yourself and you'll start to feel better mentally. Knowing what type will help you too. Hsv 1 is "less" bad that it occurs less frequently and sheds less. Hsv 2 is "bad" where it occurs more often. Knowing which type is gonna help you know what to expect. If you look through out this discussion felix does an excellent job to explain everything. Don't fret you are NOT the only one.

thank you for your response, this will be a long road. Have you told your parents or family members? I cant get myself to tell my mom that I think I have herpes.

Yeah I had to tell my whole family, my first outbreak was bad. I had a fever that wouldn't go away so I ended up going to the hospital. The first one is always the worst. I would tell your mom because sometimes we need some moral support. If you need anything I think you can personally message me if not you can give you my email.

Do you notice anything that looks like a blister, sore, abrasion, or lesion? Pimple like areas?

just looks like a tiny rash with 3 or 4 small bumps, kinda hurts to touch

If it hurts to touch and there is a cluster, then you definitely need to be looked at by a doctor.

I was worried about having one sore and the doctor said it was HSV. I'm still waiting on the test and I feel absolutely morbid right now.
