so i have actually had this bump on my eyelid for about 2-3 years now but never questioned it because it never bothered me until yesterday i rubbed it the wrong way and it kinda irritated my eyelash line a little. so finally did some Research and found that it could be a filliform wart caused by HPV and now i am terrified !!!! PLEASE HELP !!!! yes i have had unprotected sex with my same partner for 4 years now and he gets his regular check ups.

to clarify, you can get warts from shaking someone's hands or from the pool, they are also caused by HPV but aren't linked to cancer, only certain strains are, what you have isn't 100% a wart but you should go to a dermatologist and have it burned of (takes literally 10 seconds)

    Hi Nicole,

Yes, looks like a very small wart. Difficult to treat yourself- I'd suggest you see an ophthalmologist.

I wouldn't necessarily blame your partner- it may be an HPV infection, but it doesn't follow that it was sexually acquired from him!

Correct- but maybe a common skin HPV type, not an STD HPV like HPV 6 or HPV 11. The difference is academic.
