I'm so confused :(

I was medically diagnosed with HLAB27 in 2000.  I have what looks like RA on my left index finger although a blood test for RA was negative.  I had a horrific  "something" going with my genitals in 2006 but all the STD's and herpes came back negative.  It finally cleared up after 6 months.  May 21, 2016 I was diagnosed with HSV2 and had the same horrific symptoms.  My primary care physician said my stuff didn't look like herpes and after all the countless hours scouring the internet I have to agree.  She referred me to a OBG/YN specialist who said he thinks I have LS.  He showed me a photo of a patient who has it and it doesn't look like what I have but he's convinced.  I take my valtrex religulousy but continue to have whatever this gross, painful stuff is.  I have yet to find a photo of anyone with stuff that looks like mine.  I haven't had sex in 8 months because I still don't know what it is and who knows if its contagious.  If I could describe it...it looks like deep red bruises, open sores, it itches only sometimes, it burns only sometimes, it seems to be around my anus which also burns.  My butt bleeds often and then gets better.  I had a colonoscopy and everything is fine.

    Sorry you're suffering Kazerias. It sounds like Lichen Planus with the bruises and open sores.  But it also sounds like LS with the anal involvement. You must get to a dermatologist specialists  in vulval health. They will diagnose on sight if you have either.

    In the meantime cut down sugar, altogether if you can. And supposedly you don't put soap anywhere near the area? Just water, and also a little baking soda in water in a squeeze bottle after urinating. 

    Try not to stress, it makes everything so much worse. Easier said than done, I know.

    You poor thing I have had LS for over 10 yrs so can sympathise with you it sounds like LS. As I've had bruises and cracks  and bleeding when I have an attack I've sat in a bath with Bicarbonate of Soda it does ease it a bit BuT I've never beable to have sex for years now as its to painful and my whole vagina splits  so it is certainly  something like that  you have got so sorry I no how you feel it's an awful thing to have  .

    I dont know much about ls but what i do know,this doesnt sound like that. I believe ls usually has white patchs.

      Yes I've heard that as well but I never had any white patches   So I suppose everyone is different but I do hope you find out and get treatment for it how old are you  let me no how you go please .

      Hi again,i dont know if i have it or not,was having symptoms for awhile,one doc out of 3 thought i might have a mild case. Havnt had symptoms lately.Xx
