I'm so miserable

About 4 weeks ago my throat was hurting so bad. I went to the ER they ER physician told me he saw something on my tonsils and it was viral he couldn't give me anything. I left upset went home made hot tea with lemon, honey and cough drops. The pain went away. To make long a story short. I went to the ENT they told me to start taking acid reflux meds. The day after I started and pill got stuck in my throat. I went back to the ER they said the pill would dissolve drink plenty of fluids. From that day on I've been having issues swallowing I haven't been able to eat and barely drink. My doctor had me do a Endoscopy they said the saw redness which is a sign of inflammation (esophagists) they did a biopsy. They have me some medicine after the results came back which is a acid reducer not an antibiotic and now is scheduling a barium test. Then told me if I'm still feeling something in my throat they will go in a stretch my esophagus. In the midst of all of that I've lost 20lbs and still have that feeling in my throat and feeling like I'll get choked (like I've been doing) I'm so miserable and I pray everyday that God heals my body. It's like they don't understand the feeling and I feel like they aren't putting 200% into this issue but telling me that if this doesn't help it may be something with my throat muscles which is nothing they can do about that

I can certainly relate. I felt the same way when I first starting with acid reflux symptoms. I went to gastroenterologist and I felt like I was crazy. I did tell him that I felt like I had food stuck in my throat and if I took a pill I felt like I had to cough it up cuz it was stuck. My doctor was very nonchalant about it and suggested an endoscopy but I asked for barium test instead and my esophagus was good. I also lost like 15 lbs at the start of this and now i have found foods that I can tolerate that will help lesson that feeling of food stuck in my throat. I pray that your symptoms lessons and that you find some relief.

Get something for your anxiety either ask for some Ativan or go buy some Bach rescue remedy. I use Bach since I prefer natural medicines. Not that I haven't use ppi or h2 inhibitors, but I have a low functioning gall bladder which brings on attacks. You are very anxious and that can make things worse.
