I also suffer from anxiety and it's pretty bad when it comes to my health. I have been freaking out over a month now about having a brain tumor, previously I went to the doctor over this situation and u told the doctor I was getting really bad headaches Over My Right Eyebrow And I Was Told the headaches were from stress and I said okay well I'm still really nervous about a brain tumor so he game me a nurological exam and shined a light in both of my eyes to compare them....he told me I was fine and there was nothing to worry about. I barely get the headaches anymore but my right eye feel funny like pressure around it and it looks more open than my left eye! All thus might sound silly but it's so real to me and all I do is cry about it someone please give me some advice or opinions

    Hi Jessica,

I understand how anxious you are about these headaches and not quite being taken seriously by your doctor. It's worth doing what you can to investigate other options and trying not to think worst case scenario (which we are all prone to do). Do you wear glasses or contacts? The headaches could be caused by a change to your vision and an optician would be the best specialist to advise you about this. Are you getting plenty of water/fluids and fresh air? Dehydration can be a cause of headaches (research says that by the time our body feels thirsty we are already experiencing the physical signs of dehydration so try to drink regularly before you actually feel thirsty). Hoping that you may get reassurance from others on this forum. I believe also that there may be a migraine/headache discussion group as well which may offer some useful support. I hope that you are diagnosed soon and I hope that it is nothing to worry about in the longterm. In the meantime, do all you can to alleviate the stress and worry.

    Sending you hugs xx

Stress raises blood pressure and that includes in the ye. So practice  belly breathing and calm it.the optic nerve is sensitive to blood pressure changes and stress raises that pressure.you can always get an eye exam to be sure everything is fine. Headaches are huge in this world u fortunately. Make sure you are drinking lots of fresh water and juices. Dehydration triggers headaches a lot. A nuero would have seen a danger sign so you can relax on the tumor. Yoga, healing meditaions are helpful in relaxing as well. Food can teigger bad headaches so keep a log everytime you eat and how you feel half an hour later. Keep the log for two solid weeks then look back in it and see if theres an issue. Stop sodas and fake sweeteners

I am just absolutely petrified over the situation I can't calm down or stop crying my tight eye is blurry most of the time and the ride side is where I feel pressure I'm scared I don't even know words to describe it. I was also thinking back in September when I was at the airport walking through the scanner the first time everything was fine but on my way back to the airport and through the scanner is had the right back side of my head highlighted I was told they can detect medical problems that it was probably a false reading but I'm so so scared 😢😢

You went to a nuero al

ready. You can easily go to the eye doctor they dialate your eyes and they can see all the nerves, including the optic nerve. I speak from strong unfortunate experience. I have optic nerve pallor in one eye. I wont go into detail. Not a good idea. You are focusing in on that so its blowing it up in your mind. The irony here is your fear and anxiety is elevating pressures so you must deep breathe. I think its best to go to an opthamologist and have a thourough exam so you can stop the worry. the only tumor even possible to effect that area is pituatary gland and there are other symptom and signs of that. A doctor wont send you for an mri unless its needed, based on his or her medical exam. They use dyes in the MRI s and it is not something you just do. I would strongly suggest to see an opthamologist they are quite knowledgable and helpful for an issue like this.there is no reason for you to worry so much when an opthamologist can tell you within minutes if your all good. Good luck and feel better.

Even if its all health anxiety if its something you can at least get an exam for, like an opthamologist and check your eyes, then why not. It would stop that  fear at least. you will see amazing break throughs in your lifetime because of all the new blood tests and nano technology so you hold on because i can bet scientists will eventually figure out the root cause of panic attacks amd severe anxiety soon. Too many people now have it and the meds are only adequate at times so there would be a fortune in figuring it out and resolving it.  drink lots of water and even if you think your not thirsty.. drink. You want to drink half your body weight in ounces in water (can be flavored with juice too). The body runs a lot better fully hydrated. Half the population walks around with dehydration and do not even realize it.
